Good refrigerator over all but I experiences some problems.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It took some adjustments but the freezer and refrigerator compartment do a good job of keeping my food fresh.
The refrigerator was so noisy, I thought it was malfunctioning. A technician came out to inspect it. He seemed knowledgeable, was courteous and punctual. He explained that the energy efficient features were causing the sounds. He said that the sounds would diminish in 2 years, (2 years!).
After owning the refrigerator 4 months the lower handle broke. I called GE as it has a 1 year manufacturer's warranty. I was told this particular model has had other owners report that the door handle broke. The handle has been redesigned to fix the problem. I was told replacing the handle was easy and a redesigned handle would be sent.

Great for our budget!

It is a smaller refrigerator, but I was willing to give up space to spend less. It is a great choice for our family and works great!
