Does the Basics Well

My main concern: a refrigerator's ability to refrigerate. I've measured 1-5 degrees and 37-39 respectively at the standard setting. The cycle time is impressive: about 12 minutes on / 45 minutes off when the door remains closed.
Here's my take on the mere 12 hourly minutes of noise: think of the two different sounds a window a/c makes in cool mode vs. fan mode. The GE has a "fan mode" sound, mostly a blower noise in the 1kHz range. There is almost no deep compressor noise like the sound of an a/c unit in "cool mode". The relay makes a distinct click when the motor starts and stops. Other self-maintenance noises are a little bizarre but muted and infrequent.
I passed on the ice maker in favor of more storage space. There are vents at the bottom of the rear freezer wall that should not be blocked; that reduces effective capacity a little.
Why 4 stars instead of 5? Mainly the crisper drawers. They have no roller mechanism; if you use the crisper drawers often, you'll wish they did. Also, the right-side drawer collides with the door rather easily.
In short, it lacks some of the refinements of the competitor's 21cf that was here when I moved in, but it cost much less then that brand, and it refrigerates just as well with a similar noise level and superior cycle time.

Love my new fridge!

We have had our new fridge for almost a month now. I am really liking it. Pretty roomy for an 18.1 cu ft. Has room for our staples and leftovers. Easy to clean.

Perfect Size and Plenty of Room

This is my first major appliance purchase and I am not disappointed. While the fridge is not very wide, it is taller and deeper than others of the same cubic measurement. It can be a little noisy while running, but it is background white noise that is easy to ignore. Glad I decided on this unit instead of the other brand I was looking at.

Good size for my kitchen

I selected this model because it was narrow enough to fit in my small kitchen. The compressor does run a lot and it is somewhat noisy. The humidity drawers have been difficult to open - they drag and squeak. Not sure how to resolve this. I like the overall setup of the interior.
