Bought this for our summer home built in the 60's. Space in kitchen area was limited and this gives us the largest capacity for small spaces. Just wish they made it with the freezer on the bottom then it would be perfect. One iffy thing is the crisper drawers need to be fully squared up or they don't slidein and out easily and kind of make the nails on a chalkboard sound. Need to just retrain myself to be more patient.
I needed a plain, simple refrigerator to replace the one in my laundry room that I use for soft drinks, bottled water, and other beverages along with the overflow foods from my other refrigerator (also a GE). It works great and I love the spaciousness. The only down side is that the freezer door pops open slightly and then closes again if someone slams the refrigerator door.
I looked at and read reviews on numerous refrigerators and chose this one due to the size and the reviews. I have been very pleased and think I made the best choice. My freezer and fridge get very cold and that's how I like it!
I really like this refrigerator. My only complaint is that the door handle broke after only a few months, other than that, it's quiet and keeps the food fresh.
Pros: 1. Cheap price 2. Ample storage 3. Energy saver
Cons: 1. Very noisy - first refrigerator that I own which emits a lot of strange noises and sounds. It emitted those strange sounds the first day that I used it.
