Modern looking with nice gloss finish

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am so in love with this fridge. I love the black gloss finish. I wish it had more shelves but I'm sure we can order more online. The freezer is great also. I like that you can put gallons on the door. Every shelf is see through so I can actually see what is in my fridge instead of guessing and looking through every single one. The price is unbeatable and we don't feel like we settled for less than what we wanted. Thank you GE for making a beautifully affordable appliance.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This side by side has everything we need including space and clean lines. The controls are easy to use and the tempurature contros for both the fridge and freezer are quite usefull. The water filter is also very accessable.

I don't love it

The shelves are too thick as are the rails that they fit on so you loose a ton of space. I prefer the older thin plastic edges, they took up less room.
The light fixtures inside the refrigerator is rediculously bulky so you loose even more space.
The door shelves are thicker plastic than older moldels so you can't fit as much in those either.
The freezer needs another shelf and I found it to be much smaller than my older unit which was the same cubic foot.
Even though this unit is one cubic foot larger than the one I replaced I feel like I easily lost a third of the storage space.
It also has cold spots where my food will freeze. If I turn the temp up one degrees it get hot spots where my food will melt of spoil. It is not evenly cooled.
Ice maker is rediculously loud and slow.
It is an attractive design. That is the only good quality.
I do NOT recommend.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Much quieter than our previous 8-year-old fridge and cools much better too. Ice maker is huge, water dispenses fast and cold. Digital temp controls are nice so you can set it and know it's cold enough. So far so good, let's hope it lasts a long time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I just changed from a smaller GE refrig to a larger one and love the easy adjustable shelves in the refrig and the wire shelves in the freezer that will be easy to clean. The shelves on the doors are wide enough for gallon jugs. The door panels are easy to read for getting ice and water and checking temperature.
