it seems to run all the time. the water filters seem to be expensive. I do like it and it does it's job well. Nice design.

The refrigerator has worked as advertised for the year we have owned it. My only complaint is that the ice maker puts out chips when you push the cube button on occasion. I believe it is because we get a block of frozen together cubes in the left rear of the ice maker holder from time to time and when they separate upon pushing the cube button they go into chips.

I needed an inexpensive fridge

The old fridge, not a side by side, also a GE was great until it passed. Looking for an inexpensive fridge, I bought this one. There doesn't appear to be any rhyme or reason as to it is laid out inside. After a year, I am still befuddled stocking the shelves.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
