I had another similar product that worked but ate batteries. Lasted maybe 3 times before I had to change batteries. It also did not work as well. This product lasts longer and is much smoother. It does a great job of what it is stated to do. Especially when I use it to trim nose hairs. You cannot even feel it when trimming them and ear hair and makes everything so smooth.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Ugh! Why??

Ever since I bought it it has only done one thing well and that is trim my eyebrows. I have to dig and dig for it to even touch my nose hairs. The blades are too recessed.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I agreed to try out the Philips Norelco Detail Trimmer Series 1000 for free in response to writing an honest review of their product, and I couldn`t have asked for anything better! The compact size and versatility makes it ideal and realistic to use on a daily basis by packing in my shaving bag. Between the use of it on the go at the gym or on the road traveling, it`s a perfect fit for me.

Tried many, Best ever!

I have tried at least a half dozen similar products, all of which had issues. This trimmer is perfect. It is easy to use, easy to clean, and the battery life is great. At the price it is a no-brainer.
Pros: great results, excellent value, easy to clean

The trimmer is so flimsy and fragile that it fell apart in the first week I had it. All I was trying to do is re-position the head, which is its big selling point, and it broke. I just got a replacement. We'll see how that goes.
Pros: the warranty was honored.
Cons: poorly engineered item.

Series 1000 Detail Trimmer is the Best!

I have bought so many women's products like this that only work for about 3-6 mo. I bought a men's this time because it has a 2 1/2 yr warranty. I could tell immediately that is well built compared to the women's product that is similar. I use it to catch the occasional stray hair on my face and neck and it works real slick. Thank you for making a wonderful product.

Good Nose Hair Trimmer

The first thing I noticed about this trimmer was the size. I was a bit apprehensive at first due to its small form factor, it was very small and compact. This low price trimmer is good for nose hair, I never once felt any pulling or tugging. I was generally satisfied with its performance, but think it could do a bit better. Usually misses a hair or two, and needs to make a second or third pass to do a complete job. This trimmer performed as expected. I should mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review.

I received the Philips Norelco Detail Trimmer Series 1100 as a free sample to do this review. Overall I was very please with this trimmer and will continue to use it. I found it great for trimming around/in ears and neck line to help distance out my need to go and get another hair cut. The adjustable head made it easier to get into those hard to navigate spots and allowed better visibility while trimming.
