Great trimmer

First I want to mention that I was sent a free sample to use for this review. I am a relative newbie to the beard world (have been with a beard for about 2 years) and have had some experience with barbers and home trimmers. I will say overall this product gives you several length options- which I enjoy- since i keep my beard longer in the winter and shorter during the summer.
A big con (thats true for all trimmers) is that its hard to get an even shave and it takes a few swipes- with/against the grain and sometimes sideways- which is different than shaving with a razor. Its a good product and the blades cut well. The battery power is lacking somewhat, but enough for a weeks worth of shaves without issues. Overall a good product- as should be expected with this brand

Overall excellent trimmer with nice design features

I receive a free sample of this bear trimmer to review, and overall I was impressed. Out of the package, the design was well thought through and easy to handle. The pieces linked on very quickly and securely. Noise level is about average, but the trimmer feels sturdy and doesn`t vibrate all that much beyond what is needed.
The trim job was solid, which is what I expect from Philips products. I can`t say that it`s any better than older models, but the key aspect here is the newer design and ergonomics, which make using this product a better overall experience.
A solid 4/5 stars for taking an already great standard for trimmers and updating the design.

Maybe because it's brand new and the device I had was getting lame, but this Philips is really good. I like the attachments and very easy to use. Hopefully it will last a few charging cycles. We'll see.

Nice Trimmer. Great for travel

I received a free Philips beard trimmer. The trimmer is small, lightweight and great for travel. It comes with multiple attachments to set the hair length and several cleaning tools. It works well and does a good job. One problem I found is that when the battery is dead it needs to be charged before it can be used. Even if its plugged into the wall the power still draws from the battery so you'll have to wait for the charge.
Other than that it works great and I will continue to use this product for travel purposes.
Pros: it's small and lighteight. perfect for travel
Cons: power is drawn from battery even if plugged in.

I received a free sample of this beard trimmer to use, but I have to say that this is by far worth the price, and would absolutely purchase this product in the future. Having used three different trimmers over the last 4 years, I was curious as to how this would compare to the others I have tried. This beard trimmer is incredibly simple to use right out of the box - all you have to do is select the size guard you want, slide it on, plug in and slide the power button. Consistently strong power, very easy to clean following use, and each full charge lasts for many shaves. When using this trimmer on skin without a guard, the blades still do an excellent job - I have the closeness of the shave I desire, but without any fear of cutting myself. If you or someone you know is in the market for a trimmer, I can't recommend this product highly enough!
Pros: easy to use, quick charge, powerful, close trim

Easy and compact

I received a norelco beard trimmer 1200 series.I have been using this trimmer for the last 2 weeks and have had no problems and it works really well. I have enjoyed the many different guides that help with different projects. I would definitely recommend this product to friends and family.

Had this beard trimmer for a while and have never charged it and have used it 100 times. No lie! Must have got lucky with a good battery because it is still going without charge like 8 months later!

I received a free sample of this beard trimmer and I am pleased to say that it works very well. Trimming my beard was a cinch and the powerful long lasting rechargeable battery allowed me multiple uses without being worried about cables my shave session being cutoff short. The trimmer works better than others in the same price range and I was surprised by the smoothness and quiet buzzing. Other trimmers in the lower price range tend to be loud rough on the skin and overheat quickly. Overall hands down I would chose the Philips Norelco Beard Trimmer over it`s competitors in this price range.
Pros: smooth shave, rechargeable battery, little noise, affordable
Cons: there are better shavers but they cost much more
