Nice and Quiet

We really like the dishwasher. It's quiet, has large capacity, and overall it cleans well. The utensil rack could be improved - we have to put the utensils in with the handles down in order for them to come out clean. Also, the interior has an odor, even though we use Jet Dry. And, it would be nice if it had a timer, showing how much time remains.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Whisper-quiet performance

We recently purchased the Whirlpool dishwasher to replace one that had broken down after just 5 years. The Whirlpool is sleekly designed, is whisper-quiet, and has a nice array of features without going overboard. We love the stainless-steel interior and multiple rack options. The only negative, which we think is a quick fix, is that sometimes the powdered soap gums up and doesn't empty completely during a cycle. We do believe it's the brand of soap we're using. We've only had the dishwasher for a couple of months, but our experience so far has been very positive.

Awesome Whirlpool - so many advantages!!

I love this dishwasher! Great improvements - such as as easy to clean filter. For anyone who has ever taken a dishwasher apart to clean the filter (this would be me)- this is such an improvement. Pans (such as in skillets) fit on the top rack. The design is great - holds a lot of dishes. Easy to open - handle on the outside is nice. No complaints - I really am impressed with this Whirlpool product. American made product too -

Disappointed with dish rack and utensil holder.

The silverware rack is too narrow and the slotted holes do not fit the ends of utensils.Also, there is a break in the top side arm of the lower rack. As my husband and I are both on oxygen cannulas, they tend to catch in these breaks when we are loading and unloading the dishwasher. With older Americans using oxygen with increasing frequency these days, this issue could become problematic. Had I know of these breaks, I would not have purchased the D/W.The stainless coating is prone to fingerprints and they are difficult to remove.

Switrched from GE to Whirlpool after 20 years.All the features work as advertised and we couldnt be happier with our purchase.Specially like the removable silverware rack that can be put on the door or in the bottom basket.All systems work flawlessly after one year of heavy usage.Keep up the great work.

Dishwasher Not working-stops halfway midcycle

We bought this dishwasher 4 years ago. Since last year it has started having issues with cycles. It seems to get confused and does not complete the cycle after every 3 4 days. Then we have to power off and try it again and it works well couple days then again goes in the confused mode. When we open it we see detergent tab half dissolved in morning. Now I have to reset it every 3-4 days. If it works well on reset it seems to be some kind of software issue. Mechanical issue would not correct on reset. Considering older dishwashers that last 10 years, this one is against our expectation.

Quiet

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have had this dishwasher for several years. It is very quiet and cleans well. The only downfall is the plastic parts that hold the racks in place have fallen off and ended up on the heat element that dries then melted. I ordered replacements but feel they should have lasted longer. I also lost a wheel somehow off the bottom rack.

Great for 3 years and then does not clean

Great dishwasher for 3 years but kept getting worse and worse cleaning the dishes. Now we have a large paperweight that will cost $400 to fix out of warranty. Does not make sense to dump knowin that in 3 years we will have to dump another $400 or more.
