Big fan on this awesome Whirlpool Gold Series machine!

About 11 months ago we purchased two of these incredible dishwashers for a large new home. There is tremendous flexibility in loading the machines, my dishes come out beautifully and I never prewash! Still trying to break my family members of that unnecessary step. These dishwashers are so quiet in operation that I have to open the door to be sure if I have run them. These powerful machines take care of all the leftover food particles and we don't have to worry at all!

Super quiet

Very quiet and cleans well. It had some issues and would not heat unless i ran the hot water prior to operating. If you have soft water, you cannot use the soap tabs that also have water conditioner in them as that will also mess up your machine. The top shelf has poor plastic components and the rollers and some of the shelve adjusters broke. I bought extended warrantee and recommend everyone get the longest warrantee possible. These new machines look great but are not made to last over 5 years. This is also what the technicians say when they come out, (3 techs so far all say same things) Why on earth cant they be making these things to last 15-20 years, they are environmental disasters not being made to last for even decades.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very quiet dishwasher

Did full kitchen renovation to home built in 1975. Told sales person I wanted a very quiet dishwasher and that is what I got. You can barely hear it running and our kitchen is right off living room. The only small complaint I have is that the basket for silverware is attached to door and is difficult to use. But overall love the dishwasher and it looks great.

the best machine we have ever owned. As an architect I see may dishwashers, but none work as well as this one. It is super quite. You really can't not hear it run. Best choice ever.

Quiet, versatile, sleek

I'll start the review with the initial impression. The hidden top controls are great for 2 main reasons. The first being that it gives the dishwasher a sleek clean look without knobs and buttons. The second reason is that it keeps young children from playing with hard-to-resist buttons.The stainless steel exterior and tub make it feel like a quality product. Although, keeping the exterior fingerprint free is a continuous battle.The dishwasher has many different wash settings including the sensor mode if you're not sure whether you have a medium load or a power-wash load. I started using this setting after 'normal' and 'eco' settings weren't quite good enough for some loads. It runs very quietly for those concerned about noise level. This can be confusing for those not realizing the dishwasher is running and then go to open it.One area for improvement is the silverware basket (located on the door). I have found that food can get stuck here if the silverware isn't spaced appropriately within the basket. That's likely why there is a top to the basket with holes that indicate where you should place the handles of your silverware.All in all, this is a great dishwasher. It does the job, it's durable, quiet, looks good, and cleans.

Worst Ever

I've had this dishwasher for a little over a year. I had to relocate the utensil rack because they weren't getting clean crammed against the door. Upper rack breaks glasses by the dozen. It just doesn't clean the dishes even when you put it on "sensor and power scour". Waste of money. DO NOT buy this dishwasher.

Great dish washer

It was installed in our new kitchen several weeks ago. It's so quiet you don't know it running. Does a great job of washing the dishes. It's different setting make it a breeze to use.
