Low sound level without a filter that needs regular cleaning

This dishwasher was chosen as a substitute for a brand that provided low sound level, but would not fit in the opening in our kitchen. The Whirlpool was a pleasant surprise! It fit! It is very quiet and does an excellent job of cleaning. The design is roomy. Another benefit was that the Whirlpool does not have a filter that needs regular cleaning as did the brand it replaced; a minor annoyance, but still an annoyance. The design is stainless inside and has large sturdy racks.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Runs really quiet and dishes come sparkling clean

Pros: Runs really quiet and dishes come sparkling clean. It installed easily.I do wish tho that the silverware would come out drier as sometimes they have residual water on them.The design and features of this model are great.

This is a very quiet and spacious machine, I can fit a ton of dishes in it! Sometimes I have to go look at the lights to see if it is running because it is so quiet.I like the silverware holder, very versatile for holding small knives and standing them up right to get clean without stacking on one another.I like the racks and how adjustable they are, very versatile as well.It only cleans about average, though. But I admit I've never used the power scour yet. Maybe it will do a better job, since I bought the machine for that main feature! We've had trouble with the liquid rinse aid dispenser and are having the third one installed in a few days.I don't like how gunk can build-up just under the door on the floor of the machine. There is a "lip" where things run off and it collects at the bottom. I regularly have to wipe it out or it will smell bad. Also, it seems the silverware only gets clean if you place the holder on the bottom rack instead of leaving in the door, which defeats the purpose of having it there to begin with.I love the look, the spaciousness, and how quiet it is. I bought this one because it was the closest to my last Whirlpool I had in another home. The other was a little better than this one, and this one cost more. But for the price range I was looking, I am satisfied.We are on a well pump and recently had a water softener and filter installed so the dishes are looking a little better. What doesn't come clean seems to just be the machine. I will continue to rinse my dishes first for best results.If you're not a perfectionist and want a large machine that is quiet, this is great. If you want spotless dishes, look at another one.

Excellent performance

we purchased the dishwasher to replace or old one that went out. The performance is better than we expected. It's faster than our old washer and dries better also.Only wish that the silverware basket was not located on the door.

We were replacing a 20 yr old unit and wanted a quite and eficient unit. This dishwasher met those goals. The cycles , however, are a bit long when compared to the replaced unit, but it does a better job.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Not much else to add, except I do really like this dishwasher. It gets the dishes sparkly clean. I especially like the sani rinse feature.

Gets dishes very clean

I am quite happy with this dishwasher for the most part. Except for the silverware, I give the dishes a quick rinse and put them in. Everything has come out squeaky clean! Like most reviewers, I don't like the silverware basket and haven't tried washing anything but pre-washed silverware.So far we have used Cascade gel with Dawn (not Complete) and Jet Dry rinse aid. We are going to switch to the recommended power packs when our gel supply runs out. Our water is fairly hard. I also always run the water in the sink until it's hot before turning on the dishwasher.My dishes do not fit well into the racks (especially the bottom), but I do really like the extra depth in the bottom (with the silverware basket hanging outside of the rack.) The silverware basket does have a very small capacity. If I use more of my luncheon size plates, I can fit a 9 x 13" dish across the back, which is nice. I have accepted just needing to run the dishwasher more often. At least it's energy efficient.I tried the power scour on a glass dish that I baked chicken in, and it really worked! No soaking or pre-cleaning, just wiped out grease. Wow.I have no complaints about the noise. You can hear it running at times, but I don't find it noisy.Like most newer dishwashers, it does have a fairly long run time and I haven't tried the quick wash. But overall, I like it better than my ancient Bosch. I do miss the countdown for the time.
