Ice cube and water dispenser.

The ice cubes come out with shavings and does not have a shield to prevent ice cubes and ice shavings from spraying onto the floor. The water tube needs to be repositioned to prevent a one sided dispensing at an angle.

I bought this side by side few months ago and I am very pleased with mine.i never had any side by side to compare this one with but I think I did make a good decision .inside is easy to clean ,allots of space for family of 4, I am happy with ice maker .the people who delivered it very nice and helpful.my recommendation for every one is to make sure the measurement of the space and the fridge match.
I would recommend this to a friend!

It came with our new house. All GE products. This and the dishwasher are both horrible.

We bought this ref for our new home and we're happy to have the same convenient features we had from our previous GE ref: water dispenser, ice cube and crushed ice dispenser, etc.; The only problem was that the bulb in the upper compartment of the ref got busted so soon.
I would recommend this to a friend!

This refrigerator cools / freezes fine. However, there is limited room. The bottom crisper drawer is virtually useless and the top shelf is crowded due to the filter. Ice maker is very large as well. My biggest complaint about the refrigerator is the smell. It smells of a strong chemical. I've had service out and they say nothing is wrong. I've had to invest in multiple "odor eater" type products, which I don't feel is appropriate for a brand new refrigerator.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Our builder chose the Refrigerator. Its a good product, i really like GE products. I would have enjoyed a larger one. The freezer isn't wide enough for buying in bulk
