Has a slight humming noise but overall a good value. the sides of the refrigerator are black. hard to see this in the pictures.

We recently purchased this refrigerator and decided to go back to a side by side.

Nice lines

Adequate storage
Ice machine inside of freezer instead of instead refrigerator that French door setup
Cons
Not a spacious as a French door model
Would prefer sides and top to be gray instead of black with the stainless

this side by side offers room for every thing a large family could want. the only problem that I have noticed it is loud when cooling. this could be a problem for many as the sound is near a higher pitch. I have not noticed this noise with others I have owned.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
