It is perfect for our house with two children. The freezer works nicely on the side. We can see all the frozen goods.

water dispenser no longer work after 2 years

water dispenser no longer works after 2 years of use. ice maker still works. ice still come out of water dispenser. search online and find out this is a common problem. fixing it will not guaranteed it works for the next couple of years.
i have 5 new GE kitchen appliances when I move in, now 2 of them is completely broken (double wall oven, over the range microwave), and this is partially broken. Will not buy GE again.

We really like this unit so far except,,, While there IS a light for the door dispenser area,, there is NO light or illumination for the control panel. This makes it VERY hard to tell which selection button to push in a dimly lit kitchen. A few LEDs (like a car dash) would make a WORLD of difference!! Are you listening GE??

My daughter loves the water dispenser! It's so convenient. I love that the shelves can be pulled out! There are lots of shelves & storage too!

First Time Home Buyer. This Refrigerator/Freezer was in my budget. It works great my small family. My daughter is so happy to have an ice maker, my husband is happy that it was not hard to install the water line. I am happy with the price and it will be easy to keep clean.
