Ice maker very noisy

For what you pay for this refrigerator you would think it would make less noise when it is making and dumping the ice.Also, when we had a power outage the box that holds the ice is not leak proof and water leaked onto my hard wood floors and caused a problem with them.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Poor Product and Bad Customer Service

We purchased this whirlpool refrigerator and had this delivered on October 2, 2015. In December I noticed some yellow discoloration on all of the inside plastic sides of the refrigerator. I contacted whirlpool and had an authorized service dealer come out in beginning of January. I followed up with the dealer and Whirlpool since did not hear back. The dealer said they turned in their report and we even had a conversation about the discoloration and I quote what he said " I am not sure why they change the product / materials they use" meaning the plastic and he acknowledged that there was a yellow coloring. Still as of January 30th I had not heard back from whirlpool so I called them, they claimed they had not received the report from the service dealer so I made them call them while I waited on hold. The rep proceeded to tell me that the service dealer was telling her it was color reflecting from the led light. This is not what they said to us when they were at our house, or when I followed up later on the phone. They were now changing their story and lying. Not very reputable. These companies never want to cover anything unless you buy extended expensive warranties and that is all they try to do is sell you these. Really if they made their products good in the first place like they did years ago you would not need to buy these warranties. Regardless I am sick and tired of companies not backing their products and for the excuses that are constantly made. I would like action on this and a solution or a replacement product offered. Whirlpool Does not stand by their product. Do NOT BUY.

Sleek, functional fridge

Beautiful looking fridge, very roomy and functional interior. Did not like that the doors swing out past the fridge box, for tight fitting cabinetry this poses a problem. I am also not happy with having just one dispenser for both ice and water. You need to be constantly pressing a button to switch between ice and water for a single glass of water.
I would recommend this to a friend!

bought a few months ago, wished we had examined the frig a little better, we do not like the fact that the shelves can only go in certain levels, which results in wasted space
