Great OS, nice Keyboard, Poor Camera
on October 23, 2011

Nice phone if looking for one with a physical keyboard. WP7 is a great OS, especially with the Mango update. My one complaint with the phone is the camera, it just takes badpictures. Really sad when I can be next someone with a smartphone and we take a picture and there is a highly noticeable difference in the picture quality. If you want a physical keyboard and not concerned about the camera, great phone. Myself I've gotten use to using the onscreen keyboard and will be ditching this phone soon for one with a better camera.
Pros: easy to use, Quality

Disappointed

I am overall quite disappointed in this product. The first phone virtually died before the warranty was up. I was sent another refurbished phone but of course had lost a great deal of my information and many pictures. I have had the second phone now for about 6 months and have had to replace the battery twice and now it is again not holding a charge. I like the pull out keyboard which is why I chose this phone but these other issues cause me to not consider it again.
Pros: Performance
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Fabulous Phone

Fabulous phone! Genuinely took some time to get used to all the features... thought I'd made a mistake when I first got it. But love it now and two huge advantages to the phone are:
(1) The full-size slide-out keyboard. Larger keys than on a blackberry or any other phone I've seen. Marvelous advantage! Can still use touch-screen keypads if you want.
(2) Icons for text messaging, phone calls/voice mail, and email can be pinned to your start menu so you can see immediately when you have new messages in any account and how many msgs have posted.
You can also access the internet through Internet Explorer, customize how many emails you want to post to your phone (from past 7 days, 2 weeks, or month) and how often you want them to be uploaded (as they come in, once a day, etc.)
The phone's biggest weakness to me was mentioned by another reviewer: you can only use the ringtones which are already programmed into the phone. You can't download songs or special ringtones to use on this Windows Phone, which is surprising considering the high level of technology this phone incorporates.
Another element I considered a disadvantage is that the phone will not turn off while it's being charged.
Sometimes the screen will also freeze for several seconds when you initially open an on-going texting conversation, but usually it unfreezes on its own pretty quickly.
No machine is perfect, but overall the LG Quantum is a FABULOUS phone.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, large slide-out keyboard

LG Quantum 900

Nice phone, it has some really great features.
However, after 3 days I have found that the tiny little fonts used in messaging and email can not be changed to a larger font. I mean they are like a 6 font size!!
So ,, now that I bought the phone I took it back. Not enough customization?

No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

"FLASH PLAYER!"
It's a good phone. But my main concern is the lack of Flash. 75% of web videos/games are flash. Frustrating to try to watch video or play a flash game to be told you can't By far it's biggest Achilles heel in my opinion. The fact that you have to connect to a PC to update can be a bit annoying as well but not that painful.

Love this phone, It's the heavier of the 2 windows phones but it's most durable. Can't get any better as far as battery life. 2-3 Days on one charge. Xbox Live Friendly and games are easy to play, Superfast!

Phone is Terrible
on June 1, 2011

I upgraded to my first smart phone which is the quantum and it totally is the worst thing I ever did by getting this phone. It can be sitting on the table and start to dial phone numbers without me doing anything to it. It has done this on it's own time after time and then hangs on to the line it called for up to 45 minutes at a time so no one could call me or the number it called. Can not bluetooth because I dont have Windows 07 on my computer so I have to be tethered to my PC. Can not down load and upgrade ringtones. Is not user friendly and can not use many of the free applications on it because of how it is set up. I would not reccommend this phone to anyone, especially as a beginner on a smart phone. The touch screen is either overly sensative or will not do as required when I try to flip it or dial phone numbers or type information in. It is heavey to hold when you are on a phone conversation unless it it for just a few minutes but definately is one of the heaviest phones I have ever held.
Dont Buy It.
