Terrific side by side

My husband surprised me with this awesome gift last month, and I am just thrilled with the larger size and all of the wonderful features, as well as the stainless steel/black motif that really sets off my kitchen.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Good Value Priced Side by Side

Replacement for previous GE identical refrigerator with different model number that was discontinued for this model. The first lasted only 6 years; closed system (freon) failure, too costly to repair. The first model was extremely quiet, important since it is in a common area with Great Room. It worked flawlessly until the sudden failure. We decided to purchase the replacement model that had the exact dimensions so we knew it would fit perfectly in our cabinet. After install, the new model runs just as quietly and is functioning perfectly. The new model has one improved deep shelf on the refrigerator door that replaced a shallow one on the previous model. Other than that, all other features and dimensions are identical. We purchased a 4 year extended warranty and believe that we should get 10 years of reliable service out of this model.

Water Dispenser won't work anymore!

Loved the item when we first got this, however after about 2 years the water stopped working from the dispenser. We changed the filter, and defrosted the frozen line in the freezer door several times to the point that we have given up trying to even use it. I keep a jug of water inside the frig. Which is absolutely pointless to have the dispenser when it doesn't work. Have had two service technicians look at it and they can't fix it and I was told, "I had to live it" and I am very disappointed in this because I have always utilized GE appliances. Currently looking for a new replacement and guarantee won't be a GE

Pretty but not perfect

This came with our house. In 3 of the five years the icemaker spent work. The freezer thaws and leaks sometime.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
