You just want a closer shave
My Phillips does that and more
With lots of options that really score
Rotary heads smooth and quick
Kissable skin without the nicks
They float along de rigueur
Swiping stubble, a force majeure
The three heads whiz in such perfection
Moving together in all directions
Blades so soft on sensitive skin
Especially underneath the chin
Other brands boast, though no matter what
It's hard to beat the Comfort Cut
Face raking razors are a scandal
Against its ergonomic handle
A motor that is barely heard
Like a soft chirp of a summer bird
A shave is quick at any hour
Even in the morning shower
Clean with brush or simply rinse
With ease that makes a lot of sense
Trims are now a simple chore
Better that ever before
Sideburns and moustache you can skimmer
With the handy built in trimmer
Head replacement is an easy change
A quick procedure that is not strange
Unlike the lowly manual gear

After so-so experiences with other brands, I decided to treat myself to a 'good' shaver. But the Philips 3000 Series HQ6996 turned out to be a total disappointment. The motor is sadly lacking in power. Even when fully charged it sounds & cuts like it is about to run out of power #charge#. Using the cord doesn't improve the power much. It struggles to deliver a barely adequate shave and really has trouble if the growth is more than one day. Maybe this particular shaver has a deficiency from the outset and is supposed to perform better. But how would I know - I have no basis of comparison. I have given up on it.
Pros: nice design and feel
Cons: gutless anemic motor
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

This razor is one of the worst razors that I have purchased from the Philips Razor Company. It has to be plugged in the shave with and the electric cord is in the way all the time I'm trying to shave. The razor also makes a noise that keeps you thinking something is not right with the movement of the shaving blades. Over all, I'm sorry I purchased this Brand of razor.

This is not my first Philip's shaving unit, but it is by far my least favorite.
This unit seriously lacks cutting power and will malfunction if even the blades are mildly dirty. I constantly need to clean and dry the blades as I shave to get it to work properly. This is especially true when trimming nose hair as natural nose mucous causes unit to malfunction and requires immediate maintenance, otherwise job won't get done.
I am honestly terribly disappointed with this product, especially as a long time Philip's shaving supplies user. I feel that as time has gone by, the units have been getting worse.

I tried this product a few times and it just would not or could not give me a good shave, especially on neck and throat. It wasn't great on my face either. I usually had to spend to much time on one place, I got razor burn and it still left stubble. I returned it and went back to my bladed razor. This was a mid priced unit. I don't know how your expensive ones are and will probably never find out because I'm on social security and can't afford one.

Cons: doesn't give good close shave.

We were disagreeing on shaving cream in the shower, so I bought this for him. Now he doesn't have to use any shaving cream, lol. Plus he can shave on the way to work which he loves! Also saves water ;-D

After shaving for the first time with this razor, I was ready to trim my sideburns. I couldn't find the trimmer. I finally concluded that they didn't put one on it. I have owned dozens of Norelco razors, and never had one without a trimmer. I didn't look for it when I bought the razor, didn't think I had to. The razor itself works great, but you guys should have spent the extra buck on a trimmer.
