This product seems to have no power or speed, even when it has a full charge. Takes a long time to shave, and I have to make many passes over the same area to get a clean shave. I've had electric razors in the past, and this one seems to do the poorest job of any of them.
Great Razor, does all you can ask for in a lightweight portable unit

Was very surprised on how well the razor could handle a heavy growth of stubble. When I first turned in on, it was so quiet I thought it would have problems handling my facial texture, but it just worked it's way through with no problems at all. Very impressed with the number of shaves before it needs a recharge. Over all a great product.
Poor battery time. Old unit was better with a once every 10 days for recharge. Blades do not shave as good as the old unit either but this was my fault for selecting this design. Did find that the series 8 blade fits and gives a better shave.
need to have a trimer on all models. Quality of shave is very poor ie hit or miss I donot get a consistent close shave

Had Phillips for 60 years and this is the best one yet. Started when I was 24 and now 84 and both are still going strong....

The cord is not the curly type Phillips used in the past and is a pain to store. The cutting heads seem dull as they pull on the stubble making the experience unpleasant. I no longer use the product after the first two weeks as I consider it a waste of money. I am totally disappointed in the product. I may have to switch brands in the future.
Pros: none
Cons: long cord dull cutters it seems

Hello, We’re sorry to hear that you’re facing issue with Philips dry electric shaver. However, to enhance your experience with the Philips dry electrical shaver we would like to provide you with the techniques for the best shaving experience and results. • Move the shaving heads over the skin, making both straight and circular movements. • As it is a dry electric shaver, shaving on a dry face gives the best results. • We also advise you that you may need 2-3 weeks to get accustomed to this Philips system. We would like to suggest that during this period, use your new electric shaver exclusively and do not alternate shaving methods. Alternating shaving methods makes it more difficult to adapt to the new shaving system. Requires Cleaning Head Every Shave

I bought this plug only shaver because I had the HQ6940 at my ranch and needed a new shaver at home. I have had Philips shavers since a teenager (I am now retired) and avoid rechargeable models due to poor product life. This PT710 is the worst model as it clogs up so easily and badly when it grabs a long hair at the sideburn. It winds around the drive wheel and the cutting blades stop turning due to poor contact. Must be taken completely apart and cleaned with a toothbrush scrub as water does not remove wound hairs. The HQ6940 has three substantial sized claws and this never happens with it. The long hairs get chopped. Also a coiled cord and trimmer is missing. I find a blade razor is easier than this model and less time. I should have read the reviews before buying.
Pros: no batteries to wear out
Cons: needs coiled cord, needs cleaning every shave, needs a trimmer, wastes a lot of time shaving
