[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My recently purchased Model 3000 Norelco shaver performs reliably and without problems. I now prefer this single unit shaver with the shaver head enclosed in the body.
I still have my Norelco 5000 shaver which has a higher speed shaver head and swiveling/detachable shaver head. However, this more advanced model suffers from the shaver head falling off when pressed snugly against parts of my face, such as under my chin.
I am thus happier with my less fancy Model 3000. It is sturdier and always gets the job done.

I have loved it for years, perfect for me

I used to shave with razors with blades, then multiple blades. I tried several electric razors but found them to be inefficient until I bought the NORELCO PT-750 Wet/Dry shaver. It has served me faithfully. I am now 82 years old and my beard has softened except for my chin. I still get a close shave, but it does he a little harder to get the soft hairs on my lower neck. No razor burn though. I replace my blades twice a year even though the manual says change them once a year. After I shave I rinse it under hot water. After it dries, I spray it with Remington Shaver Saver oil.No nicks or burns .When I used blades, I kept a styptic pencil handy.
In a world where closeness is at a premium, I need a shaver that doesn't get super close. My skin becomes irritated. This shaver generally works well, if I don't push too hard. Glide along gently, letting the shaver do the work, seems to work most of the time.
On an unrelated note, the cordless feature is great. The shaver has only been charged once, since I bought it 2 months ago.
Always used foil shavers in the past as the floating head shavers never really worked well on my heavy beard. Now it's the opposite! Love my new shaver!
This shaver fits in your hand, it feels comfortable.

The PT720 gives the most comfortable shave that I have ever experienced. It's a very close shave, better that a blade with no blood shed. I will always go with Philips.
Pros: great shave
Cons: none

Average shaver. Pulls hair sometimes and as most other shavers do not shave the neck properly. Close shave otherwise.
Pros: close shave.
Cons: pulls hair., not good at neck region.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I previously had an older Philips shaver (that lasted years and years!) and when the moustache/sideburn trimmer broke, I needed to find a replacement. In today's age or rechargeable, cordless shavers, it was not easy to find a corded shaver with a pop-up trimmer, but this model is exactly what I wanted. Works great!
Pros: can be used corded (plugged in to wall outlet), has a pop-up trimmer

I have owned this shaver for YEARS and the only reason I hit this site is that I want to buy the same one for the trailer. Use it every day and keeps its charge a long time. Dont want to try something else when I know this shaver won’t let me down
Pros: close shave, long battery life between charges, doesn’t irritate my skin
