Loved it - until the top chipped

I only had this about six months (and had only used it a handful of times) when the glass chipped by the pouring spout. It had never been dropped, gone from cold to hot, etc. No usage out of the ordinary at all. It is most definitely NOT worth the price for something that can chip that easily (and of course you can't take a chance and use something like this for food with the possibility, however slim, of glass getting in someone's food).
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Bowl cracks way too easily

I have owned this mixer for 5 hrs and have had two bowls crack and the rubber trim on the outside of the bowl always falls off. I wish they would just make a stainless steel bowl that fits this mixer

Great mixer now useless - Replacement bowl ASAP

Not sure what’s going on with KitchenAid, but can’t get a response or call back regarding a replacement... can’t find one anywhere. Retailers are complaining about Whirlpool/KitchenAid and how there service has gone down hill too...

Attachments don’t reach the bottom of the bowl

I’m not happy with this mixer. The bowl is too deep, the mixing attachments don’t reach the bottom of the bowl so it doesn’t mix or whip well. I wish I can return it or get longer attachments.

Glass Bowl Broke

I loved the option of the glass bowl so I can see how everything is mixing together, however the glass bowl spout area broke from just hand cleaning it before I even had it a year. I am frustrated because I didn't realize a replacement was so hard to come by and that I couldn't just get a metal bowl for the mixer. Now I am stuck with this super expensive machine and a broken bowl. I would appreciate if KitchenAid found a way to remedy this as it seems to be a common issue for everyone who owns it.

Not quite right- and fragile

Mixer is powerful for making anything but attachementd don’t reach the bottom of the bowl so you have to scrape and turn over your bottom portion. And I cracked my bowl while doing stirring after lowing it to get to the bottom.

Bowl Easily Breaks

Was excited to get a bigger mixer, however, the bowl broke due to my daughter barely rubbing it with a spatula. She is 6 and almost cut herself on the glass as it feel into her. We love to bake together, but this really scared her. I am very disappointed because this is something we love to do together and are unable to use the mixer until I purchase I a new bowl.

very disappointed!!!

My husband bought a lift mixer for me 1 year ago because my hand mixer (40 years old) finally bit the dust. He chose the model KF26M22SR because of the heavy duty glass bowl. Last Christmas I used it and then this Thanksgiving. My first use this Christmas and while hand washing I saw a crack! So disappointed that I just after a few uses the bowl is cracked and there is no replacement! Now I have a beautiful mixer that cannot be used. I am very disappointed. Do not buy!
