Still A Great Quality Piece of Equipment

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was given a KitchenAid mixer 30 years ago and it still runs like the first time I used. The quality of KitchenAid products is still the best since I have purchased 3 other mixers plus all attachment. KitchenAid is #1.

Not practical for the cost and storage space

I love to temper chocolate and cook up custards and fondue as much as the next cook. But I can't justify the $300+ price tag for something that I already have the equipment to do another way: ie a double boiler or a microwave. Not only that but the average kitchen is 10 by 10 feet. It's bad enough that it's expensive, but it also takes as much space as a large 6 quart bowl? How realistic is that?

Got this but it doesn't fit on my 6 qt mixer. Bummer. Looking for a new mixer but can't decide which ones are compatible.

Disappointed with this accessory

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I’d hoped this piece would be great for ttempering chocolate. I’ve tried a couple of times now and haven’t been successful. I’m really not sure if this is user error or not but after following the directions in booklet twice, I’ve had disappointing results. Definitely not worth what I paid. I d much prefer some of the other accessories available for my mixer if I had it to do over.

Not real user friendly

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this before Christmas and was pleased, but I did find it hard to use. I followed the directions and it seemed like it just didn't want to work the way it was supposed to. I figured it was because I used it as a stand alone. This would be a great machine if it was a little more user friendly. I would still recommend this product with the hope that they listened and made some improvements. It might have been the chocolate I used too. I used the chocolate wafers from Winco bulk section.
I would recommend this to a friend!
