I purchased the Precise Heat Mixing Bowl from Sur La Table a few months ago.
It works very well. I used it to make yogurt. I heated the milk to 200, then let it cool to 110. I added my starter and set the temp for 115 and let it sit overnight. Perfect results. Tempers chocolate too. I do with it had a high/low temp alarm.

I have wanted this since day one of availability and just got it with my beautiful blue Design Series tilt head mixer. Absolutely spectacular for proofing bread dough. Worth the wait!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I got this as a Christmas present and absolutely love it. My house can be a little chilly to raise bread on the counter in the winter time but this bowl makes it super-easy.

I bought this appliance to temper chocolate. I followed the directions and it did not work for me. I ended up returning the item. I love my other Kitchen Aid items but this one was just not up to the labeled claims. I was broken hearted.

I love this heated bowl!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought this precise heated bowl in mind to use for candy making and working with chocolate and it is amazing!!! I can't wait to get the attachments to do other things with my Kitchen Aid stand mixer. I found my stand mixer at G--dwill for $25 and all it needed were feet for the bottom. What a wonderful addition to my kitchen!!!

I used it many times to proof bread. It works great; however, I found it is very difficult to remove the temperature base from the mixer. Does it have an easy way to remove it?
