[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Would recommend only if needing lower temps! I purchased this for two major reasons, doing chocolate and proofing doughs - this works GREAT for doing this; however, it appears that if you need higher consistent temps, this may not be the unit for you. Consistency in warming is ok, but you really need to be stirring constantly because the heat comes from the bottom only so temps from bottom to top of liquid or batter varies greatly. I think the engineers might consider heating this like the older crackpots with heating elements going up the side of the bowl for more consistency. Using this as a dough proofer is perfect and cuts my dough making time much shorter.
Bowl fits well on my kp26 and accessories fit well.
Overall I would recommend this to anyone that wants a good proffer or chocolate warmer.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Always counted on Kitchen aid Products... first big... I mean big disappointment and a waste of money. it cost more to return it and I've lost enough. all the research I did on this product was a waste of time. worked with it for 4 days and gave up...very disappointed Kitchen aid would put out a product like this. My advice... Don't waste your money!!

KitchenAid's Precise Heat Mixing Bowl is a great addition to the stand mixer. It allows precise control of temperature for a variety of applications, such as rising and kneading doughs of all kinds, yogurt making, fondues, and more. Temperature is accurate, but takes quite a long time before it is reached. The unit's user manual does not mention how to switch the temperature scale from Fahrenheit to Celsius. I called the KitchenAid's support about this, but was never called back with an answer. However, I easily figured it out since there are only 3 buttons. I would purchase this unit again, as it is a great complement to the stand mixer, and it can also be used standalone.
I would recommend this to a friend!

During the holidays I temper a lot of chocolate. I was impressed with this feature and was able to temper two pounds at a time. Both milk and dark chocolate tempered beautifully.I have not used this for anything else, but I am looking forward to making yogurt next.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] It is easy to use with or without the mixer attached. Great for bread rising. Haven't melted chocolate yet, but it is so easy to use Im sure it's a breeze. Directions included are clear and precise.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought the Precise Heat Mixin Bowl on the clearance rack of WS for the purpose of Tempering Chocolate, knowing that if it didn't work I could return it with no questions asked. So far it has worked great, my Milk Chocolate Covered Graham Crackers look great. My next task is molding a 18" x 11" Hollow Italian Easter Egg. Wish me lick.
