I have had this stove for 10 months and has been excellent. The 36" is a good size to handle many pots at a time. I would prefer to have an additional high output burner, but can make due.

good cooktop but could be better

The cooktop has been used for eight months, and all is well except for the large burner. You have to blow on the burner every time to get it to light. Very disappointed on the GE solution to the burner problem
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I JUST LOVE THE CONTINUOUS GRATES, I AM NEW TO STAINLESS, WAS WORRIED ABOUT CLEANING IT, FINGERPRINTS, ETC. THIS COOKTOP IS EASY TO WIPE CLEAN, AND LOOKS GREAT!

Great features except for lettering

We've had the cooktop 5 years. Love the cooktop, but lettering around knobs has all but disappeared--and this after gentle cleaning! Two of the five burner plates are bubbling also.

This is a follow up review & considering the burner problem has been resolved (thanks to GE for an equitable resolution) I would recommend this product. The burner BTU listing is probably the best when compared to other models. Cooking has been a delight and this cooktop goes well with the 36" disappearing vent.
I would recommend this to a friend!
