I bought this for my wife. It is not very accurate in tracking distance or steps which were two of the primary reasons I got it for her. It will tell you a 3 mile walk was only a little over 2 miles. At least it wasn't super expensive.

Maybe it is my fault for not doing more research. But I can't seem to figure out how to get it to count my laps while swimming. When I sync the speedo shine it only shows steps even though it shows it under swimming. It has no option for weight lifting it just shows me as resting. It does look nice but it doesn't even work well as a watch since it is either 2.5 min fast or slow.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I love several things about the Misfit Shine Speedo: 1) it's waterproof, 2) I don't have to charge it everyday, 3) the band is replaceable, 4) it looks good. There are a few things I don't love about it: 1) the face tends to get scratched, 2) it can be easily lost (I'm on my second), 3) although the app is easy to use, it's not as easy to use as other fitness apps. Overall, I will recommend this product to friends, especially swimmers.

There are multiple problems with this device, but the sum of it all is that it just doesn't work. It comes out of the band too easily. It switches from lap counting to step counting and back during the swim session. The app has poor documentation. It's not at all user friendly.

First of all, it does not show the time consistently when I double tap it, although I triple-checked that the option was turned on. Sometimes it would work but most of the times it just doesn't show anything (except for one dim blink).
