I bought this cooktop in June 2014 and it is really pretty. The only thing I do not like is when something gets on the burners the stain do not come off. I like the way it cooks but The burners should not stain like that.

Cookin' with Gas!

Had electric cooktop for 15 years so happy to get gas! There is a lock for the dials so the wee ones don't get hurt! Even temps and faster warm ups! 5 burners oh my!

Great Gas Stove

Love everything about the stove. It works well, heats evenly, ignites promptly, etc. The only thing I can think of to not pick would be cleaning around the heat dials can be a little tricky. They are not easily removed. Other that that, very happy!

Surface area too small

The surface area is too crowded. It is impossible to use all 5 of the burners for their intended purposes at the same time. It would be fine if there was more space between each of the burners allowing standard size pots and pans to be used. At most I can put 3 pots/frying pans on the grate at any one time. This cooktop was installed in our "gourmet" kitchen by the builder [an upgraded kitchen with all GE Profile appliances] and doesn't provide what it should.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Meets our Requirements

We remodeled our kitchen last year and we had certain requirements that were hard to fill for a cook top: 1) It had to come in white ( we were going with white, easy to clean, instead of stainless steel), 2) 30 inches wide, 3) 5 burners, and 4) LED Lighted control knobs to indicate the unit was on. Only this GE unit met all of our requirements and we have no regrets. It is perfect for our cooking needs.

Overall perfoms well, very attaractive. Love the lighted dials and the lock out feature on the burners.
One draw back is how easily the surface scratches, especially around the rim.
