Burner Grates

It takes little too much to cook, because your Burner Grates is little too high from burner. If you can tell me is it possible to get lower Burner Grates, please let me know, where and how can I get lower Burner Grates.

The gap between the burner head and the top of grate where the pots and pan will be placed is high, which makes it a slow heating/cooking process. It takes forever to heat the vessel and the cooking time is considerably increased.
Light on the knobs is white in color and not visible during day/night ( if your kitchen lights are bright). They should have given a red LED next to each knob.
Very difficult to maintain the stainless steel and the aluminum burners. Even a small spill discolors the steel and the burner heads.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

really good cooktop

Really like the cook top. A little difficult to clean around the knobs and I haven't learned how to remove them and clean yet. One of the rubber bumpers under the grates has come off with the grate and was damaged so I couldn't put back. I suspect it stuck to the grate and pulled off when the grate was cleaned. Wish it had a flat grill that sit over the burners. Would be a nice feature for a cook top this expensive. May be available aftermarket but just additional cost.

Wonderful Upgrade

The wife and I are really happy with our new GE gas stainless cook top. We picked it up as a closeout item to upgrade our older 4 burner gas cooktop. The Profile Series looks great, is easy to keep clean and performs well. I was a little concerened after reading reviews that the cook top hardly boiled water when using the small burners, but I have NOT experenced that. The small burners are a little slow bringing medium sized pans up to a boil, but function well for simmering or keeping items hot as other items cook. However, the large central burner is essential for quickly bring large pots up to a boil. I really appreciate the Power Boil feature for doing this. I am quite satisfied and would certainly make this purchase again. BTW...did I say that it really looks great!

Terrible heat control

This stove has terrible heat control. It takes forever to heat anything, and it is either cooking nothing or burning your food.

I had this cooktop installed approximately 3 months ago as part of my kitchen renovation project. Since I have only ever had gas appliances in my home, I was concerned about converting to an electric oven but shared no similar concern over the purchase of this new gas cooktop.
Well - this has been a big disappointment. I cook often, entertain a good deal and therefore use the cooktop a lot. It takes almost three times as long to bring water to a boil. I still have trouble having everything ready at the same time because of this! Something that is delicate like a soft boiled egg is impossible to get right. I have always cooked a perfect 4 minute soft boiled egg and haven't been able to get one right yet - and that is with many, many tries! Since it takes so long for the water to come to a boil, the egg is ALWAYS overdone - no matter how long I leave it in the water once it has come to a boil. I have tried a 2 minute egg - still overdone!
I believe the design of this cooktop is the problem. I think the grates are too far away ( too raised) from the flames.
Wish I had my old cooktop back!!! Very disappointed.
