I have had this product for a year, so I know what I'm talking about. Be very careful using the product. If you read the negative reviews first, you'll notice that they all complain about the same problem. Doesn't boil properly (and I do put a lid on the pot to speed up the boiling process.) Since the grates are set so high, not only does it take a long time for water to come to a boil (especially a second boil), but there is a high danger of burning yourself. The heat escapes from the sides and if you reach over to grab the pot, the escaping heat singes your skin and the handles get very hot.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I used my daughter's GE gas cooktop and had to have one of my own. Thanks to GE's great features, it's the only way to cook.

Great concept and manufacturing

When we remodeled our kitchen we wanted a cooktop but I was not aware their was a gas cooktop. We bought this cooktop a month ago and we just love it. Cleaner cooking, not as messy as the glass cooktops. My husband and I just love it.

The builder selected this and I love it. The top is strong enough to hold your largest pot and it is so easy to regulate the temperature.
