I bought this vitamix a month ago and I am very happy with it. There are times I need to blend twice and use the tamper because over fill it or don't use enough liquid. This doesn't really bother me because the end result is with the effort. I had the kind of juicer that separated the pulp of the veggies and fruit, but this allows you to keep all parts, which is healthier. I find the personal series just the right size for me (single servings). I think in the end this was probably one of the best investments I've made for healthy eating.

I bought vitamix personal s55 blender because of the review of it that I watched on YouTube on "blending oth Henry" I feel in love with it. Also, I saw a lot of vegan chefs use a vitamix. I thought I could never afford it but then someone give it to me as a gift! I was so happy. It's been about a month since I have it. I've made ice creams, soups, smoothies and, hazelnut butter and almond milk in it. It's really fast and efficient. I love it. But sometimes I get scared at how loud the sound is. I will have to get used to that. It looks great too. I have nothing to complain so far this is the best blender I've ever had. I love the preset buttons they are really helpful. And I'm a vegan so I really needed a high speed blender. I'm so glad I bought it.

So I just got this today in the mail, and I have used it all day! It is amazing! Intense power, and blends everything so nice and smooth. I've made cashew milk, and fruit smoothies. A green smoothie with kale, mixed berries, the cashew milk, and frozen mangos. Made an amazing guacamole dip that was so cream and smooth. Also got to make watermelon lemonade that was amazing and so smooth. Can't wait to make some more recipes!!!!

This blender works OK for making a couple smoothies or frozen drinks. It doesn't produce as smooth a blend as expected, either using the control dial or pre-programmed settings. Even with the smoothies, protein powder will often clump and not get fully incorporated in the liquid. The recipes for soups all require cooking the ingredients first. The cauliflower soup came out grainy and goopy. Made the same recipe a week later with a handheld immersion blender and that actually worked a little better. I don't know if it's the container shape / size or less powerful motor, but the S55 definitely doesn't live up to expectations set by the full size model. On the whole, it works just OK. Not much better than your average blender. Poor value for money, when there are so many smoothie making alternatives out there.

I love Vitamix and use mine 4-6 times a day. That is why I bought the S55, in addition to the original large Vitamix I already had. However, I must say I am dissapointed :-( The "bolts" at the top of my carry mug rusted in no time and now water is stuck in between the liners and I can't remove it. I'm at a loss for words since I am such a big Vitamix Advocate and share it all over Social Media... I have been refraining of speaking about this one. The last thing I want to do is give Vitamix a bad name because I do really love the product.

I was thrilled to find a blender for smoothie's with a small footprint yet great power. The bonus would be the soup feature. I am a senior with a small kitchen cooking for one person. Every time I tried my smoothie I had to shake it myself. The food got stuck under the blades and at the top. It was not pureed. I also did not want to be drinking air. I tried stirring it to get rid of the air but that didn't work. I heard that the velvet texture was preferred but it should be a choice. My stomach does not like air. I gave it a good try. I was very disappointed.
