Regulator keeps breaking

Charbroil fan no more...

I bought this grill to use on my boat. The regulator was never right and felt loose. I should have taken it back to the store, but I put it on the shelf and kind of forgot about it and went back to my stainless steel marine grill (which works great but attaching it to the boat is a hassle) Sooo, now I am buying a competitors product, but wanted to voice my displeasure and provide another review that may keep someone from purchasing this model. I have owned Charbroil products for many years, but have to give this one poor marks. Caveat Emptor...
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Horrible

Burns everything instantly!! It does not cook evenly it burns everything on the lowest setting within seconds! Unusable. Waste of money!

Can't cook without burning

I purchased this grill thinking the size would be great for our toy hauler. Well, the size is good, but trying to cook with it is a challenge. You can't regulate the gas and hence the temperature. It's goes to 450 degrees plus set at the lowest setting. It's a shame it performs so poorly. I thought purchasing a brand name like Char-Broil would be money well spent.

Grill flame goes out and gas keeps flowing

Dangerous product. Owned for 2.5 years purchased 5 regulators. Same issue. You can be in the middle of cooking and flame goes out. If you try a restart, you must stand way back, or else you won't have facial hair.. Throwing mine away. I've had it it.

Gets way too hot

I've had this grill for a couple years now and generally try NOT to use it due to it's very lacking control of heat. This thing gets HOT and only HOT. It doesn't matter how I adjust the valve. The very few times I have used it I have had issues with it totally scorching my food.

Durable. Even heat with no flare ups. No hot spots. Heavy use going on over 12 years. Cooks everything perfectly.
