I was looking for a portable BBQ that would be an improvement over my older tabletop BBQ, and this Tru Infrared intrigued me. After getting it we initiated it with grilling salmon, and it did a beautiful job on it. I didn't realize how much oil is in salmon. The grill kept flames (flair up)from coming through. It cooks evenly, and the piazo igniter and temperature gauge are great to have.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Our Grill to Go is the perfect size for use in our RV. The grill is big enough for a larger group and the tru-infrared allows for cooking at lower temperatures, thereby saving propane. Overall, a very good brill

Easily the BEST. GRILL. EVER.

I've had it 2 years. Tailgated with it. Taken it camping in the mountains. Use it on the back porch as a "daily driver."
It's ability to heat up to 500° in 2 minutes, and stay there for as long as you want it to is what makes it the best. And this is coming from a 20-year, nothing but a Weber charcoal kettle, ever, guy.
The only 3 caveats are that: (1) for smoking salmon, pork and brisket, I much prefer charcoal and hickory, (2) at altitudes above 5,000 feet, you are going to have to use matches to light it, and (3) if you want sushi, you're on the wrong page.

Product gets real hot real fast! Have to experiment a little cause this cooks a lot faster than a regular grill! Grill is really a pain to keep clean!

I bought this grill and first used it on a blistering cold day--it was 6 degrees with a wind chill of -12. Grill lit right up, heated up quickly, and grilled two steaks to perfection in a matter of 10 minutes. I wasn't expecting too much from it; however, it has far exceeded my expectations. Well made, feels durable, and it wasn't difficult to clean. Highly recommended.
My only complaint is it was a little expensive in comparison to others on the market, but I think after using it that it was worth the extra money (or if they included a outdoor cover for it that would have made it worth it too!).
I would recommend this to a friend!

Well built and cooks great

We bought one of these grills about a year ago when we got a small travel trailer. It's sturdy and works so well that sometimes I use it at home instead of our older full size Jenn-air gas grill. Since we don't normally need a large grill I'm thinking about buying a second one to use at home and only drag out the camper grill when we need more. I only use a 20 lb tank with a 10 foot hose. That way I can use the extra tank on our trailer or connect up to one on the deck at home. You can remove the regulator with the hose attached and stow it inside the latched grill for travel. I never tried it with the little bottles and probably never will.

Cooks awesome meat!

I bought this for use in my motorhome. The size is perfect for portability, fitting neatly into a basement storage bin. When new, it heated rapidly and cooked wonderfully! Seared well, left perfect grill marks and cools quickly for stowing. After a falling accident, the grill won't heat in a breath of wind. I just ordered a new regulator in the hopes that the regulator was damaged in the fall though it shows no outward signs. The reviews on this grill all mention the overpriced and cheaply made regulator so I am a bit worried. Customer service was very pleasant and helpful. Thank you Jacia!
Why I didn't rate 5 stars is that even new, this grill struggled in cold weather. If the wind is blowing or the temps are in the 20's or 30's, this grill under-performs. The aluminum case dissipates heat quickly. I think a larger BTU rating would serve this grill nicely. That said, the Tru-Infrared burner system cooks so well I purchased the 3 burner patio grill for my home. That comes with iron grating which is an added benefit and I installed the natural gas conversion. It too struggles in the breeze and cold but unless it is 15 mph or above, it will still cook.

It burns everything

Used the grill for full season and tried to cook almost everything - sausage, chops, steaks, sandwiches and I agree with other people - the main problem - it is too hot and burns everything. I with it has lower settings.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
