Same as everyone too hot

Had it for a year so far and I think I'll toss it. No way to control the heat unless you want to open up the lid to cook something. Hits 650 and would probably go 1000 if the thermometer went that high.
As for smoking, wrap some bacon around a nice piece of elk tenderloin. You'll see plenty of smoke.

Horribly HOT

This BBQ looks great, but has only one Temperature 650+. How are you supposed to cook anything on that. It comes out like black tar in minutes. There is a definite problem with this grill and the regulator control.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

won't stay lit

the grill worked great for a few months and now it will not stay lit, the least little breeze and it goes out. I figured out how to adjust the regulator, but even with the flame set pretty high it still will not stay lit, close the lid and it goes out pretty quick.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Infrared Portable Grill is a great BBQ. Cooks fast and even heat. Had a 3burner Infrared grill, was also great, but had to down size do to change in living space.

Best grill we have ever owned! The infrared cooking of steaks and pork chops is far superior to the charcoal and fixed gass grill we have had in the past.

Burned the food at first until I understood that the setting on low is not like normal grills. Love the speed of cooking. The only downside is the maintance required to keep the grill ready.

Bought it for camping. Love the latches that secure the cover. Like toting a small tool box. Good portability with everything staying together nicely. Stable - good base. And it cooks good too. Heats up fast, nice even heat, no major flare ups and not too hard to keep clean. Very pleased with this purchase.
