Best portable grill I have ever owned

I purchased this Char-Broil x200 TRU-infrared portable grill last year. It is by far the best portable grill I have ever owned. The infrared is fantastic, because it cooks with zero flare-ups, more evenly, and if you prefer you can add a smoke box and get more smoke than the other grills. It never burns food - ever (again no flare-ups ever). The grill also has excellent gas flow to all parts of the grill, so their are no hot spots. Excellent grill.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Don’t buy

We bought this grill a year ago and have nothing but issues with it. We changed the orifice in the Regulator and change the regulator and still have not had any luck without burning anything it seems to only charcoal everything you cook and that’s on the lowest setting 550° plus

Burns Everything

Bought this grill before we went camping. It burned everything I cooked on it and there was no way to control the heat. I had it on the lowest setting and it still overcooked all the meat I put on it.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Gas stove not a grill

As per Tech support they recommend cooking with the lid open, so you Might as well purchase a Coleman gas camp stove and cook on it and save yourself a lot of money. But if you like blowing your money and burned food then buy this baby.

Cooks Good with modifications

Bought but runs way too hot. First regulator failed full open. Was sent a replacement but took a long time as they were out of stock. Still too hot so installed a needle valve at the regulator so I could control the temperature. Can now cook things hot and quick or slow and low. Can set to hold a temp of 250 degrees. Grate will rust so not sure it is really stainless.Use a topper to cook on since grate gets really disgusting.

Fantastic grill

Bought one a few years ago and absolutely love it. Yes it does get screaming hot so you have to re-learn a little bit about how to cook with it. Cooks food in HALF the time as a regular grill, and you can just throw a handful of wood chips right on it without soaking them first! Awesome! I bought replacement parts to keep it going for years.. Perfect size for my wife and I. Keep the grate oiled and cleaned and you should get at least a few seasons out of it, maybe more. Fantastic little grill for the price.
