This grill cooks way too hot with no way to regulate the temperature. Great for beef but don't even attempt to cook poultry or vegetables.

TOO HOT!!!!

We bought this unit about 6 weeks ago and have used it on two trips so far. We have used the disposable green canisters and even adapted it to our larger propane tank on the fifth wheel. No matter what we dial the fuel down too we cannot get this unit to heat up to anything less than the maximum unless we leave lid off. Consequently you have to tend everything all the time so you do not burn your meal up. Even with infrared there is some minor flare up. We have the big infrared deep fryer from charbroiled and have enjoyed it for a couple years now,but this is a big disappointment. We will go back to using our larger Coleman starting this weekend.

Poor temp control!

The overall quality of the grill is great I love this little thing but there is no way to control temperature even on the very lowest the gas regulator goes the thing still skyrockets its way way past 500 degrees! Throw on a couple adjustable air vents to help and this thing would be good as gold

Love It, But

I really like this product for camping. It travels well and is easy to store. My only problem is that the lowest cook setting is very hot, too hot to leave food on there for very long.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Limited Temp control

Excellent for steaks but no matter what the regulator is set for the temperature Goes to 600 or above. At a low setting it takes longer but it is not possible to do any cooking requiring a constant temp

Rv Ready Grill

We bought this for our RV because of the size and it appeared to be durable. I read the negative reviews but figured we could work with the problems stated. About a year later, it has been one of best purchases we made for traveling and camping. We have had none of the problems in other reviews. The temperature responds to small adjustments of the regulator. This grill is fool proof. It cooks faster than other gas grills. The food comes out juicy and evenly cooked inside and out. There are no flare ups. The only way to screw this up is to leave your food on too long. We frequently camp with other families and our grill is the one that always gets used. When we go with our neighbors, who bought a much more expensive pretty grill, he makes all kinds of excuses to use our grill. When we get home I put the grease tray and the grate in the dishwasher and hose off the rest. As tough as this grill is made I don't see it wearing out soon, but when it does I'll buy the same model. So charbroil, if you're reading these, don't ruin this by changing to cheaper materials. Leave it just like it is.

Great portable grill

We have used this grill for 2 summers. It is, by far, the best portable grill I have ever had. Lights immediately, cooks evenly and cleans up easily. Really a "best buy."
