We have only been using this kettle for one day so its way too soon to comment, however we do have two other Kitchen Aid products which we are very happy with but those were made in the USA and the kettle in China so we hope it will be as good.

I bought this kettle over a year ago along with replacing every other kitchen appliance with Kitchenaid. Sure, it's a basic kettle but I knew that when I bought it. The paint started chipping around the spout. Within two days of emailing Kitchenaid, another one is in the post! This is why I buy Kitchenaid. They stand by their products and backup is faultless. Thanks Kitchenaid!

Love my kettle. S/S pull out lime scale filter. Keeps the heat where we don't have to boil sp often. They say a kettle is just a kettle. No it isn't.

This Kettle produces chemically smelling plasticky smelling water . I am very disappointed . It also gets coated in scale regularly. i have resorted to boiling water on the stove
