Not compatible with current Mac operating systems

I bought this WorkForce 435 to replace my 4 year old WorkForce 500 that quit working. I had thought since it was brand new that it would be compatible with my Mac computer that has OS X Snow Leopard on it. It is not very compatible & works worse & more crudely than the 4 year WF 500. That has been a huge disappointment, especially since I will be upgrading to Lion soon & am afraid it won't work at all.

Performance of Workforce 435

The scanner doesn't work half the time. The ink runs out too fast and printing seems to be on delay. I am not totally happy with this printer. Ink selection is not the best. Have to buy each color cartridge separately rather than in a bundle.

Scan is difficult to figure out & no online suppor

I wish it were easy to just push a button and "scan" right away. There is too little real support on this website.

Poor choice

From the time it was new, it required frequent head cleaning (consuming much ink) until after less than 1-1/2 years, the heads would not clean at all, so I disposed of it. I probably print only about 10 sheets a day on average, so it did not get heavy use.
I was able to give it to a charitable organization that does a lot of scanning.

I would have given it a 0 Star Rating if it was allowed. I can't print from my computer, tablet, or phone which are 3 things that it is suppose to do. Completely a waste of money. The Printer is a huge Paper Weight on my desk.

The worst thing about this printer is that when the ink runs low, you cannot print, AT ALL. If I want to print when the cartridge is low or almost out, or if I decide to take the cartridge out and shake it to get more out of it, I should be able to. This printer will not let you print when ink is "low" and I absolutely hate that.

I should have know better

I will never buy away from my usual brand. I thought it was better to buy this instead of investing in ink, what a mistake. At first I thought is was ok and I was stupid enough to buy one for my house! Once you run low on a color cartridge you can't print in black until you change the cartridge. I purchased new cartridges and could not get either printer to print. I was doing a return and it spit out 15 pages of chicken scratch! Been a big waste of my money and time never again!
