Failed engineering/design

Bissell policy - My history : Failed/defective product, covered under warrantee. Send a replacement which has not had the problem fixed, and is doomed to also fail. If the replacement fails after the original order date's warrantee - too bad for the customer. This is not good warrantee policy - If a company has not corrected the engineering design flaw which caused the failure in the first place, then they have not properly honored the warrantee. Sending a defective replacement to allow the warrantee time period to expire is a bad policy. It is especially disheartening to me because I have six Bissell products.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

I had to get a new dirty water tank as the first didn't fit right, they did replace it promptly though. I find the main brush/suction tool very awkward to use. When using the brush to adjatate the spot puts the handle to close to the rug making my hand drag against the carpet. Biggest problem is the suction, is not strong enough to pick up much water. Also could be because the tank does not fit down snug. I used a full tank in the clean tank and got almost nothing in the dirty tank. Maybe I need a new machine???????

The first time I used this product, I was totally impressed. You can control how much solution is sprayed on the rug. You can even extend the amount of time you have to use this machine. I found that is you spray the spot or stain you are working on and then turn the machine off, this will give you more time to scrub with the attachments. I really like this machine. I recommend it to anyone. I have a full size Bissell that I purchased attachments for. I was so pleased to find out that I could use these other tools on this machine also.

I found the SpotClean Cordless did an excellent job cleaning stains on my carpet. It was easy to assemble, following the instructions provided. The machine is lightweight and easy to maneuver on work area. Using the soaps recommended I found even some old set in stains were cleaned successfully. I was able to get the machine easily to one stain that was right up to the wall. With the battery fully charged the machine worked up to the 20 minutes as indicated. The power was strong and the water sprayed on the carpet was then sucked up into the machine, not leaving the area too saturated.. The clean up of the machine after using was easy. I highly recommend the SpotClean Cordless for stains on carpets.

I hate this product.

I wouldn't ever buy this product again and am thinking of throwing it away. The first time I wanted to use it I couldn't because it had to be charged for several hours before 1st use. Well after charging it, it used it and was fairly satisfied with it's cleaning ability. I used it for a mess my dog made- not for a huge area. After cleaning I put it away and didn't think it would need to be recharged. Wrong!! Today I spilled coffee in the car, and after some cleaning the machine stopped. It needs to be recharged and can't be used until recharging is complete- probably several hours again. Meanwhile, my coffee stain is getting set without being cleaned. Don't buy this machine!!
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Sorry to hear this, Nancy. Cordless products with batteries do require charge time, but they allow for portable convenience for use on things like outdoor furniture and car interiors.
