brush will not on our new carpet

We just purchased yesterday. The brush only turns for about 45 seconds on 5 month old carpet. I used it upstairs on laminate and older carpet and it was very convenient. Unfortunately it was purchased for new carpet. Too bad it had promise.

I love the Powerglide Cordless. It is lightweight. It is easy to maneuver. The suction is powerful. I like the ease of removing the hose for usage, as well as, the ability to carry the canister while using the attachment. I never would have purchased a swivel neck vacuum, but this machine has changed my mind on that thought. I love the swivel neck. I forgot to mention how well it removed cat and dog hair from the furniture, and it was easy!~ Keep up the good work producing excellent products.

This vacuum has unbelievable suction for cordless. I have hardwood floors with very few rugs and lots of pet hair. Easy to clean and remove the cannister to vacuum stairs. It is heavier than I would like only because I am a senior with arthritis in my hands. For the majority of users, I'm sure the weight is not a problem.

I bought this to replace my old vacuum which I loved, but sadly, the hose is beyond repair. I have many, many stairs so I thought I'd purchase. I love the convenience of the cordless vacuum. It's a great concept, it's just that this has no power. I've read other reviews, and since mine is straight out of the box, brand new, it's not clogged. My old vacuum used to suck up socks in the blink of an eye. This can barely pickup a piece of lint. I'm very disappointed. Great concept, easy to use, just a lack of power. For the price, it's a bit disappointing.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Works great on carpet, hardwood, and tile. Never lost suction. I have been skeptical in buying a cordless due to the lightweight that most of them claim. This one has substantial weight, but not too heavy. The conversion to use the tools is quick and easy.

I've only used my Powerglide Cordless Vacuum a couple of timesI I like the feature of it being cordless and rechargeable.I noticed that it makes a high-pitched kind of squeal while I'm using it. It seems to pick up well on both bare floors & Carpet.I purchased a Bissell Stick Vac-Floors & More earlier this year which I like because I can remove the vacuum part and use it like a Dust-Buster. I also purchased one as a gift!
