Feeling safer with a Solid State Drive

I can't tell you how many HD's have failed -- when you "least" expect them to.
This is my 2nd Solid State Drive and boy is it quiet, fast and I have great confidence
in its lasting w-a-y longer than a regular hard drive.

SSD Died after moderate use

While it worked, there was no issue. Laptop booted fast. IT died after 2 years of moderate use. I think samsung should really look at it from reliability point of view.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

My Apple Mac Mini (late 2012) is hard-used and lately it's been suffering a bit performance-wise so I thought I'd replace its hard drive with an SSD one. I researched the different ones available from different manufacturers and I settled on this one because of the great reviews and longer warranty period.
I installed it fairly easily and vroooom! The Mini's performance blows away what it was when it was new! I'm very pleased with it so far.
Pros: excellent performance

This drive runs really quietly like a cat purring, and since I installed it my laptop has had no issues and performance has improved greatly. This is really a good price for the SSD for 500 GB and I would recommend this to anyone :)

Samsung drives have always been a go to for upgrade solutions when building machines or upgrading internal storage. The easy design and form factor contributes to easy installation.
As a Mac user, it would be nice to get better support and tools like the Magician Software available to easily upgrade Firmware and provide other performance enhancements.
Pros: Durable, Lightweight
Cons: lacks mac support tools
