Fast ! FAST ! FAST ! and Great Software ! !

I installed a 250GB as a boot drive in my laptop. I thought it would make it boot a little faster since the hdd was the slowest component on my i7 laptop. I was so surprised with how much difference it made ! It boots in a few seconds , and it is definitely noticeable in just about every thing I do ! It wasn't slow befor but now its like a new gaming computer ! The software makes a huge difference as well. It not only helps migrate from my old hdd, it optimizes the computer after the move and doubles the performance yet again ! I didn't realize how beneficial the migration software was until I installed a cheaper brand ssd in my Moms computer it took much longer with a faster result (with ssd vs hdd) but not nearly as much of a difference as the Samsung SSD. I saved some money up front but it took me so much longer and a disappointing result I would have been happier buying a smaller Samsung ssd with the great software ! I'm still messing around with my Moms computer trying to get it close to my computer with the Samsung ssd ! Save yourself a headache and save up a little more and get the Samsung or just go with one size down and put your big files on your second drive. You can't go wrong with Samsung. They didn't pay me to say any of this. :)

What can I say 1TB of 850 EVO goodness. It will breath new life to a build with an HDD. It will fit in anything from a console to a monster case, and it's fast. You can't go wrong. I use this as storage and a Samsung 950 pro NVME as my boot drive.
Pros: Lightweight, fast, reliable

Samsung's line of SSD's is top notch. I have three 850 Pro SSD and two 850 Evo. From their boot times to loading applications from my laptop to the desktop is all top speed. My benchmark results were in line with the posted numbers that Samsung advertises. Highly recommend to anyone looking to buy Samsung's SSDs.

I have been using the 840 EVO 250GB for my O.S drive and have been very happy. Recently my
WD mechanical drive that I use for games died. I replaced it with the 850 EVO 1TB and WOW,
what a performance upgrade.

Really increased performance on my old laptop

I am thrilled with the new speed my laptop has gained simply by replacing my old spinning hard drive with this. Boot time is about 4 times faster, and all my programs seem to be more responsive.
I am only sorry that I did not add this SSD earlier.
Pros: much faster boot time, speeds up system

I chose the 850 EVO after careful comparison shopping online. It performs to all specs and was easy to install. I find it amusing that Samsung and its competitors give the SSD product a nicely designed appearance even though after installation most of us will never see it again.
Pros: Inexpensive
