Great so far, and fast

I purchased from Best Buy, installed with zero issues. The speed when reading and writing is great. I chose Samsung over other brands because I felt their drives (and devices) are more reliable and the 5-year warranty is at least 2 years more than any other brands I was viewing. So in short, go Samsung it's a win-win.
Best Buy price matches so it was easy to go locally and get one for an online price point.
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

Install was easy, downloaded software and install was easy. No problems at all with this ssd, and i own 2 of them.. no problems ever .
Pros: Inexpensive, easy install, works perfect

1TB SSD Awesome

The product is blazingly fast, the data migration software that clone the HDD was extremely easy to use and best of all it worked!!
I replaced the HDD in my Samsung Series 7 Chronos laptop. While there are no instructions included for the removal and replacement of the HDD but it should be intuitively obvious if you are going to tackle the task.
After removing the bottom cover, I removed the 4 screws holding the current HDDD and disconnected the SATA Cable. I then removed the mounting bracket from the HDD and put it on the SSD. Connected it and mounted it back in place and then fired it up.
1st boot was good, the system recognized the SSD and the OS indicated a reboot was required. After the reboot, the system speed was amazing..... After validating everything migrated, I used the SW included on the CD, Samsung Magician, to configure the SSD for performance. After rebooting, the speed increased again and I performed the Performance test and was impressed with the read / write speeds.
Simple install, amazing results. I strongly recommend the product and wish the price was a bit lower but operationally, it is exceptional.
Pros: extremely fast vs hdd
Cons: price is a bit high

New life to a laptop

I had a 6 year old Dell laptop given to me. Installed an 850 and it really made a difference. Boots very fast, 6 seconds to login and about 2 seconds and Windows is up and running. Bought another for my desktop.

When migrating my old system to this 850 EVO 500GB by Samsung Data Migration Software, old system won't recognize the new drive. It seems it is a common issue to most owner.
After a few trying, I replaced the old drive and reinstalled the system instead of migrating from my old laptop. Everything is fine after reinstalling the OS. The feature RAPID Mode did improve the speed but it did not apply to all Samsung SSD models.
Pros: Lightweight
I would recommend this to a friend!

CAME FROM A SAMSUNG SSD 840 500GIG TO THIS SSD 850 EVO 1 TB

The reason I upgraded from a 500 gig to a 1TB SSD is I just needed more room.the reason I have aways gone with Samsung each time,and also I brought a 125 gig & a 250 gig that I bought for my wife.Is SAMSUNG makes a great SSD.The migration software and the Migician software they give is the best.they make it so easy to install that even at the age of 63 a person has no trouble installing the software.and mantaning the hard drive. I have been building my own pc for the last 25 years this is the best upgrade you can make to your PC .Very fast and reliable hands down best upgrade you can make for your PC.
Pros: Durable, Inexpensive, Lightweight, lighning fast

The 850 Evo continues to be one of the best performers for its value. While you might not get the same performance as you might from the PRO line, the EVO line offers serious workhorses with capacities that won't break your budget.
Pros: Durable, Inexpensive
