It took me a while to install this hard drive. But, once I got all the data transferred over to the SSD, my computer was never the same. The boot time is crazy. Everything loads exceptionally quick. I feel like I just bought a brand new computer for dirt cheap. Now, I have only had this product for one day. But, so far so good.

Fast, Quiet and Reliable

I've been using my Samsung 850 EVO 1TB SSD for a few months now and I have to say, it has performed very well. It was very simple to install since it's a direct replacement to a traditional HDD. The overall speed of my system increased, although, the only time it's apparent is during a boot-up. I haven't had any problems with the reliability. It truly operates just like a mechanical hard-drive. In addition to all of that, this thing doesn't make any noise at all and it barely generates any heat.
Overall, I'm very happy with this upgrade. I was a bit apprehensive at first of switching from a mechanical HDD to a total digital SSD, but now that I've had it for a while, I'm glad I made that switch.

Gave new life to an old notebook

I was going to donate the old notebook, but alas, with this drive it is faster than when it was new with a spinning hard drive. Keeper.

Popped this in my newly built PC, installed my OS to it, Boots FAST. Durable as well, didn't feel creaky or flimsy.

just received the evo 850 250GB ssd drive; I installed it in my PC, installed the cloning software from the DVD, started the cloning program, cloning my old drive to new Samsung one was super easy, rebooted, selected Samsung drive as C drive in bios, that was it. Super easy. That's how it should be.
5 year warranty is very nice.
I would recommend this to a friend!

Helped make older Macbook Pro relevant again

I installed this drive in my Macbook Pro mid 2012 and it is now fast enough to meet all my needs which includes some 4k content rendering which before was basically impossible and now is easy and possible. The packaging and instructions about the physical installation process were adequate. The only two complaints I have are there wasno software support for macs as the included disc is for windows only so I had t use a third party program. And the other thing is it seems to me like a sata to usb should be included with the drive. I was aware the software wasn't compatible and the cable wasn't included. If they were this would be the perfect product in my opinion.
Pros: Inexpensive
