Research showed Samsung is the way to go

I did a lot of research before deciding on a new SSD drive. I am no expert on them but I was impressed by the fact that Samsung creates all of the components in house, and from reviews of other drives, it seemed like the consensus of the ones I read had decided on Samsung as well. I called Samsung tech support with some questions and was pleased to find out that their SSD tech support is US based ( New Jersey). That clinched my decision. I also was considering different brand which are also good and have good reviews and their tech support is also US based. So it was a close choice between the two but I ultimately chose the Samsung.
Pros: fast components built in house

I bought this to replace a failing 1 TB Desktop HDD, and what a difference! A lot less latency on read/write operations for an overall faster and smoother experience, even though in my scenario the drive is only running at SATA II (motherboard limitation). The magician software also makes optimizing windows for SSD performance a breeze!
Pros: Inexpensive, Durable, Lightweight

Purchased this drive to replace a standard HD in my laptop running Windows 7 Pro. It was very easy to install and load. It reduced my start up time to less than a minute - ready to go!

It couldn't have been made easier to switch my old hard drive to a new 850 EVO 2.5" SATA III SSD!
From the time I installed the data migration software to up and running took less than 30 mins and boy what a differance in performance, wish i had done this sooner

I purchased them to replace 1TB RAID1 drive in new computer. I have used 840 EVO for few years now and never had any complaint. Seeing great performance reviews, I decided to stick with Samsung brand.
Windows Experience rating of new computer was 5.9 - standard disk had the lowest rating. After installing 850 EVO, graphic card is the slowest hardware now. SSD has rating 7.9.
Windows 7 boots in 30-40 seconds, not 2 minutes. Everything works fast. LOVE IT.
Pros: speed, quality, warranty

Samsung 850 EVO 250GB installation

I installed the Data Migration software, plugged the new 850 into my D: drives cable, and ran the software. Everything was correct, so I just clicked the start button. In 15 minutes I had a perfect copy. Replace the old SSD, re-plugged my D: drive, and booted. Worked almost perfect. It turned off indexing on the system drive, disabling Media Streaming. Took a couple of hours to figure it out.
Nothing on the internet about it. SSD to HDD was 297MB/s; now 402MB/S. Bench marked at 542.
