Very fast!!!!

Simply a great product. Installation was a breeze. I didn't have to reinstall my OS and my files again just used the included Samsung software to clone my old hard disk. Remember to buy a usb to sata cable to do so. My PC now run faster than ever. Start up and shutdown process are very fast. Eveything in general runs very quick. This is the best upgrade you can give to your computer.
Pros: easy to install and clone. exeptional quality.
Cons: none so far.

This SSD completely blew my mind. I purchased one for my laptop, since the HDD in it was failing. The EVO reduced boot time to mere seconds. In addition to that, read and write speed is amazingly fast. Now I'm no longer limited by what my disk can handle, but what my network caps at.

My first ssd

I am very satisfied with the 850 EVO 500GB SATAlll. Not having any experience with a SSD I was wary with installing because of all the horror stories on forums I read. What a surprise this product was to me. The hardest part of installation was having to remove and reinstall the GPU because the SATA port was directly under the end of the GPU. The actual install of the SSD, software and cloneing my HDD was a snap. I am very happy with the improvement of programs and apps speed now with this SSD. Anyone thinking about a SSD will do themselves a real favor with the 850 EVO.

This SSD made a huge difference in the speed of my system. Now that processors and memory have gotten so fast, the bottleneck in a system is the storage system, and this product cures that issue.

Great upgrade from original HDD

Drop in replacement for classic 7mm mechanical disk drive that improves performance of even an older laptop. Boot times now less than a minute and switching between apps smooth and fast. Performance would have been even better if AHCI functionality available. Cloning of active partition smooth once version 3 of software downloaded. A checklist of pre clone and after install actions would be helpful (i.e. remove unused programs, clean register, defrag multiple times, then after install; enable TRIM, turn off scheduled defrag, download and install Samsung Magician...)
At the first sign of problems with HDD in other laptops, I'll buy and install another Samsung 850 EVO.

Best Add-on Purchase I Have Ever Made!

I just purchased a new PC and found that total boot time was too long (about 2 minutes). I picked up two of the 850's (configured as RAID 1 in my PC) and within 2 hours I have my PC up and running again but with one big difference. That two minute boot time was knocked down to 15 seconds.
I highly recommend picking up one of these SSD's for your PC.
You will see a huge difference!
