Samsung's reputation lives up to its Name

I reviewed all types of SSDs and found out Samsung always got great reviews. I built a new computer with Windows 7 (I was a XP holdout)
As I was reviewing newer computer builds everybody said use a SSD as a boot drive and have a HHD as secondary drive. I purchased a EVO 250 SSD it installed w/ no problems. The SSD boots so fast !!!
My new Motherboard has a M.2 Slot.... so I wanted to see how that type of drive works/runs so I also got a Samsung EVO 250 M.2, that installed with no problem. I was a little worried about the M.2 because I tried to find out what type the M.2 was and the Samsung website does not really say if the M.2 is SSD or PCIe. THAT HAD ME WORRIED. The store Salesman said it would work but he did not know for sure, so I toke the chance with the M.2, in the end everything worked out for the good. Both drives work very well.

First time using a SSD!

What a difference. My old platter drive started to act funny so I decided to get a new drive and install win8.1 pro 64bit. The sales rep told me to try a SSD so I did and the speed difference is night and day compared to a platter/spin drive.
Pros: low energy use...., less heat created

Originally installed Windows 7 and it was great at loading up. Upgraded to Windows 10 and it is awesome. This drive is way faster than a regular HD at booting up. Totally recommend this drive to anyone looking to upgrade to a SSD.

Great upgrade to an an older MacBook Pro 17". Huge difference in performance. Lowered the weight of the laptop as well.

Without a Doubt... The Best Hard Drive I've Ever Bought... Load Time is Astounding!!! I will Never Ever Buy Anything Except a Solid State Drive for My Computer Again!!! Thank You "Samsung" for making this purchase available to the General Public!!!

this sdd boosted my speeds on a macbook pro i had put away do to older style hdd thats slowed me down.

I bought 2 of the 850 EVO SSD. They are excellent drives and perform great! The drive is an great value and they perform well! Excellent, excellent product, Samsung does it again!

Simply a great product. Installation was a breeze. I didn't have to reinstall my OS and my files again just used the included Samsung software to clone my old hard disk. Remember to buy a usb to sata cable to do so. My PC now run faster than ever. Start up and shutdown process are very fast. Eveything in general runs very quick. This is the best upgrade you can give to your computer.
Pros: easy to install and clone. exeptional quality.
Cons: none so far.
