The drive failed after 2 1/2 months of minimal computing use. I will be contacting Samsung to have the drive warranted.
Pros: Inexpensive
Cons: Poor quality
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Very slow and unresponsive...Pathetic

I replaced my 512GB OCZ drive on mac book pro 2011 with the Samsung EVO 850 1TB. The performance was appalling and the system was unresponsive all the time. I had to put back my old drive. I planning to RMA this SSD and I hope the new one will be better and stand up to the SSD technology.
I must have received a bad disk if I were to believe that other Samsung disks don't have this problem and I just got a bad one.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Good product, but ....

Good product, but I bought this product for the rapid feature with the ram. I have always enjoyed most of my electronics from Samsung. This is a good SSD, but if you buy it to enable rapid mode, be aware it would not let me enable it in Windows 10. All of the required things to have to enable rapid mode are detected, except I get the error," Unable to determine operating system". It's not checked green like the other requirements. I have installed two separate versions of the software to enable this to no avail. I just purchased it, and haven't gotten to tech support yet. Samsung has great tech support, so I am sure they will fix this issue for me. I will update my ratings after they have been notified, and a resolution determined. Meanwhile, I just purchased their 34" curvy, gorgeous, fuse with your soul S34E790C monitor, and can't wait until it arrives!
Pros: Inexpensive, Lightweight, easy to install, just as good as other ssd's.
Cons: Did not meet expectations
I would recommend this to a friend!

followed software instructions exactly and could not get a bootable disk on SSD
Pros: none if you can't get it to work
Cons: Did not meet expectations, poor instructions and software

SSD worked great for 7 months till it died. PC doesn't even recognize it anymore. Took SSD to Geek Squad and they couldn't even read the 1tb partition. And I am unable to retrieve any data from the SSD. I am not very happy with this hard drives quick failure.

I/O benchmarks are fantastic for the size and price. Beautiful slim sleek expected Sammy design & colors. Installation was a snap and the warranty is what I expect from a great company. This was my first Sammy SSD purchase and am 100% satisfied. TY
Pros: Realistic color, Durable, Lightweight, built by samsung ;), 5 year warranty, v-nand tech... means fast.
I would recommend this to a friend!
