My old freezer was my 4th freezer in 35 years. Now I'm on #5 and so far it far exceeds the performance of the previous freezer. The door is much stronger than any freezer I've had and it will not cave in if you sit something that may be a bit heavy on it, like a crock pot. The size from the outside is deceiving as far as space. It has a tremendous load space area.

The freezer has served me very well and I would recommend it to other people. However, I would like it a lot more if it had an additional 2 baskets that were about twice as deep. That would make the freezer more versatile since chest freezers have an issue in not being able to find things.

My other freezer stopped working and this was the only freezer for sale within a 50 mile radius. I got real lucky that it was an Amana. It is bigger than I wanted but that is all they had in stock. Glad I have it now. Can put more stuff in it now.

I bought this about 3 months ago. I really like it. There are a couple of things I wished were different. First, it has a rattle. It is in the garage, so it does not bother me that much, just wish it was not there. Also the baskets, (which are plastic not wire), I wished stayed more securely on the lips of the freezer. They fall off easily and then the door does not shut properly. It really does a great job keeping everything cold though.
