I bought this frig a month ago and have been surprised how much room it has. I like!r the ice in the door because it frees up space in the body of the freezer.

REPLACED A UNIT THAT WAS NOT RELIABLE; REPAIRS REQUIRED AT LEAST ONCE A YEAR AND ONLY 7 YEARS OLD.THE ICE MAKER IS VERY USER FRIENDLY AND CAN BE ACCESED EASILY; VERY SPACIOUS AND PR0VIDES LOTS OF SHELF SPACE

The front of the refrig looks like a refrig for the 70's which the ice maker is located. When I windex the exterior of the refrig it looks streaked. It does not appear to look like it has a front grill of it. The ice maker when it is making ice is extremely loud. The frig itself appear wise I think it is ugly. Could have been a better design.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Lighting of shelves is good. Ice maker not so good

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like that the unit has upper and lower level lighting at the rear of the shelves so I can see what is at the back of the shelves. Shelf levels are fixed and I wish would have been designed to be adjustable as my old Frigerdare had. The ice maker bin is small. The fresh cubes make a loud crash when they drop into the bin until the bin is full. Ice cubes used at dinner time or later are made later in the evening and the crash wakes me up. The ice maker shut off switch is reached by removing the bin which I find inconvenient.

It's good but the top shelf isn't tall enough, the light is in the way. The shelves aren't set far enough apart, otherwise it works fine. The ice and water in the door are great.
