I bought the refrigerator 2 months ago and is very happy with it. There is lot more room in side of the refrigerator than my last one that was the same size. I really like the glass shelves in side of the refrigerator.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We bought for our new home 4 months ago. It has plenty of room for what we need in the home with 8 people in our home. Easy access to refrigerated and frozen items. It looks nice and fits great in our space. So far, we are very pleased.

Keeps things cold but don't expect anything more

I have only had the fridge for a month and so far the freezer keeps things frozen and the fridge keeps things cold. However, the water from the door dispenser is luke warm at best and the bottom of the fridge doesn't look like it fits correctly. I've had maintenance come look and here is nothing they can do to fix either. Just cheaply made I guess. Pretty disappointed since I bought whirlpool thinking I was avoiding cheap. Fridge also runs loud and Ice and water are loud.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

Quiet, Sylish and more room than expected.

Our new fridge, WRS586FIEE, was delivered two weeks ago. And it has exceeded our expectations. The last refrigerator, also a similar sized Whirlpool, had just died after 17 years. So we went with the good name again; but after shopping several brands.This model is roomier than our previous one, though we were told that manufacturers recently had to get honest with the actual volume their interiors displaced. It could be that the old one had an inflated cubic footage. Nevertheless, we like how the ice maker is in the door, saving space in the freezer itself; but also closed off so that food pieces can't get in the ice compartment.We also love the bright LED recessed lighting in all areas. Estimated yearly energy costs are $78 with 647 kWh.The black ice is stylish. It fits in quite well with our stainless steel dishwasher and stove with black top. Most importantly, the black ice exterior does not show finger prints like the stainless steel exteriors do.Concerns: One must press hard on the water dispenser to get a flow. That is concerning for we're afraid that it might break one day under too much pressure. Also, the bottom produce drawer does not pull open with great ease. So many plastic pieces like this suggest fragility. But our last one was mostly plastic on the interior and it lasted a long time unbroken.We never had need to call for service on our 17 year old Whirlpool. Everyone tells us that today's refrigerators are not made to last that long. We're hoping that they're wrong. Still, while we usually don't buy extended warranties on new products. We did with this one. It's up to this new Whirlpool product to prove that to be unnecessary.

Vertical Pizza's

Shame that you must store 95% of store bought frozen pizza's vertically because freezer is not wide enough, instead of flat like the Whirlpool 25.5 that we replaced. Very noisy ice maker fill solenoid and only makes like four small cubes in a batch. Very noisy defrost cycle, always has sounded load from the first start up. Adequate fridge space, freezer needs better engineering.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.
