Cooling the Desert Dwelling

It does everything I expected. Easy to use and quiet enough to not interfere with TV or other activities. Had a minor problem with the unit approximately 1 month after we got it. Called LG Service and repairman came the following day! Service is excellent and the unit is performing very well.
Pros: Performance, Style/Design, easy to use, Features/Settings, Quality

Ideal fix

We recently bought a beach house in Florida. We needed a quick fix while we renovated the house. Since we live out of state. This AC unit is very easy to set up into the window sill for the blower attachment. It allows us to fully secure the house while we are away. The unit is very quiet that you barely hear it at night. It cools down the master bedroom quickly. Our energy bills are low and should be lower with the new windows. The interesting aspect is very little condensation on the unit even when we roll it to the side when we easily remove the duct from the window

Quiet and did a great job

This worked great for my upstairs area. Approximately 1400 sq feet. I did try the app for iPhones which did not work at all, but the remote works great and is really handy.

Water leakage!!!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Ive had my unit now 2 years. 1st summer no problem. This summer water leaks out of the sides and bottom of unit completely ruining my carpet. LG will do nothing unless i pay to have a tech come look at it and pay for possible repair for something i got 1 summer use out of! Next summer i will buy a new unit that will NOT be LG.
No, I would not recommend this to a friend.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I live in the humid South so what I did to eliminate frequent drain emptying is to remove the plug, place a 5-gallon bucket underneath the drain, and let the water flow into that. Bathroom is right across the hall where I empty it and everything is fine. I've had my unit for a few years and it still works fine. I only use it when I'm in the room and it's turned off most of the time, especially at night.
